Radical Self-Compassion

“Perhaps the biggest tragedy of our lives is that freedom is possible, yet we can pass our years trapped in the same old patterns. We may want to feel authentic, to breathe in the beauty around.... Yet each day, we listen to inner voices that keep our life small.”

— Tara Brach

What is Radical Compassion?

Too often in life, we are told that in order to succeed we need to be our own greatest critics. Did you grow up with the core belief “I must be perfect” and too often found yourself lacking? Are you acutely aware of your own failings or perpetually feel like an imposter?

What if you could learn to accept your human-ness, to embrace your imperfections, and to truly love yourself? Imagine how free you could feel. That is radical self-compassion. I can teach you how to truly befriend yourself.

What will I learn?

Mindfulness and non-attachment. The inner critic is quite loud for many of us. Guided mindfulness practices will help you cultivate non-judgment and focus on compassion.

Recognizing Your “human-ness.” Struggling with imposter syndrome? Lack of confidence? Learn to remedy these and become the empowered person that is your birthright.

Befriending your perfectly imperfect self. Ever notice how you talk with a friend? Radical self-compassion involves treating yourself like you would treat a beloved friend.

The mirror reflects back to you the feelings you have about yourself. It makes you immediately aware of where you are resisting and where you are open and flowing. It clearly shows you what thoughts you will need to change if you want to have a joyous, fulfilling life.
